Tip from the doc

Singing makes you happy and possibly smart!

Today we're talking about singing and there's basically one clear message: singing in everyday life is important and very good (not only) for children.

"Singing is the true mother tongue of mankind," said Yehudi Menuhin, the famous violinist. He was right about that. I can also emphasise that singing is extremely important, especially for children.

There are already several studies that support this thesis. They show that children who grow up singing regularly perform better in pre-school examinations than children who do not sing as much.

There is a highly recommended website called "Stiftung Singen mit Kindern" (Singing with Children Foundation), which gives very good tips for families with young or older children on how to integrate singing into everyday life.

This will not only be good for your children, but also for you: singing also releases happiness hormones in adults.

PS: How well you sing is not important. A little proof? Watch the video that goes with this leaflet ...
