Affirmations
Today we have a combined topic, so to speak: it's about something very important when dealing with children and at the same time it's a gift idea. The keyword is: affirmations.
It's about the fact that it's incredibly important for children to grow up that they are constantly shown how good they are, just the way they are. How valuable they are, simply because they are there. In modern parlance, this is called affirmations. A real market is now flourishing with ready-made affirmation cards that you can buy. But of course, even better, you can also make your own. The key is simply to give children something like this from time to time to strengthen them in their nature. Two examples of such affirmations are "I dare to speak my mind" and "I am valuable" - there are no limits to the imagination. In any case, it is important that the child always gets the message of how valuable they are and that certain things are self-evident: that you are allowed to speak your mind, that you are valuable, that you are heard.

Avoid disease transmission!
I received an interesting question from a mum. Namely: How can you, or to what extent do you have to avoid possible disease transmission to children in everyday life? Note in advance: We are making this generalised here, i.e. independent of coronavirus. Because it's clear that sensitivity to the transmission of infection is extremely high at the moment. But I think the question is generally important and will therefore be answered accordingly.
Nail biting
Nail biting is a nuisance - and around 10 to 15 per cent of children have this bad habit. It often causes parents stress, irritation or even concern because they ask themselves: "What's wrong with my child?" However, nail biting is not a disease in itself.
